20 questions with Cambridge News

As Cambridge Showcase is fast approaching (23 November) I was asked by the Cambridge News to take part in their weekend 20 questions. Here are my answers that were in the Halloween edition on 31 October 2015. It was a lot of fun completing it!

My perfect weekend consists of…
Laughter – the sort of laughter where you cry and your cheeks hurt:-)

I would be starstruck if I met…
Grayson Perry just 'cause he's awesome! Or Annie Leibovitz because I have been a fan of her work for many years.

In a film of my life, I would be played by…
Meryl Streep because she can make anyone look deep and meaningful.

The best thing ever invented is…
Lipstick because sadly I can't go out without it.

Something I loathe in people is…
Insincerity and lack of empathy.

Something people would be surprised to know about me is…
I have medals in ballroom dancing:-) Yes really.

My home is…
My sanctuary but also my workplace…

It makes me angry when…
People are cruel to animals.

A film I’ve seen more than 5 times is…
Four Weddings and a Funeral - the opening lines make me chuckle every time.

My earliest memory is…
Mark Perry pushing me off my chair on the first day of nursery school. He may have forgotten but I haven't:-)

I think cosmetic surgery is…
Something I am not interested in.  I like my wrinkles - I've earned them:-)

I feel sorry for…
The birds in my garden because my cat is an ace predator.

The most important thing to teach a child is…
Empathy, compassion, love and tolerance and a healthy distrust of authority.

In moments of weakness I tend to…
Eat chocolate and drink too much wine.

If I could know the truth behind one unsolved mystery, I would pick…

The disappearance of Amelia Earhart.

My mother taught me…
To think outside the box.

The best thing I ever ate was…
The chocolate and wine I last ate - see my moments of weakness above:-)

The best holiday I ever went on was…
Recently being in Jordan experiencing crazy things with my teenage children.

I hereby vow that I will never, ever…
Ride a camel ever again.

I wish I could go back in time and tell my 13-year-old self…

Forget dreaming about being a racing driver and keep going with the art…
